“The use of nuclear technology for military purposes does not necessarily mean using bombs against civilians and mass killings.”
Globalinfo.az reports that Mohammad Javad Larijani, head of Iran’s Institute for Research in Fundamental Sciences, made the statement.
He spoke about the possibility of using nuclear weapons for tactical purposes, including targeting military centres and bases:
“Military bases from which operations against Iran are carried out could be targeted. However, attacking civilians and infrastructure necessary for people’s daily lives is a different matter and does not correspond to Iran’s principles.
Iran should enrich uranium to 80 percent. If an attack against Iran is launched from US military bases located in Germany, Albania or the United Kingdom, those facilities will be considered legitimate targets for us.”
