Ukraine’s President Volodymyr Zelensky praised the stance toward Kyiv taken by newly elected members of the U.S. Congress and by the Democratic Party.
Globalinfo.az reports that he spoke about this in an interview with CNN.
He said he hopes U.S. support for Ukraine will grow further.
According to Zelensky, the newly elected members of Congress and Democratic Party members defend Ukraine’s position and do not shy away from stating openly that Russia is an aggressor state.
The Ukrainian leader noted that these politicians are not trying to create an artificial equality between Moscow and Kyiv and do not accept conceding Ukrainian lands to Russia.
“This is of great importance for Ukraine.”
