Iran is holding talks with Russia on the purchase of S-400 anti-aircraft missile systems.
Globalinfo.Az reports that The Telegraph published the information.
According to the newspaper, the secretary of Iran’s Supreme National Security Council, Mohsen Rezaei, delivered to Russian President Vladimir Putin a letter containing a request from the country’s supreme leader, Mojtaba Khamenei, on the supply of these systems.
It was reported that Tehran hopes to restore its air defence system after the devastating strikes by the United States and Israel.
According to the publication, Moscow, given its military needs in Ukraine, may reluctantly agree to the supply of S-400 systems.
