Short of equipment, Ukraine’s army is using home-made armored vehicles.
Globalinfo.az reports that this was told to the RIA Novosti agency by the commander of a drone systems platoon of the “Sever” force grouping of the Russian Armed Forces, a serviceman with the call sign “Shmel” (Bumblebee).
“Because of a shortage of equipment, Ukrainian servicemen in Kharkiv region are using makeshift converted passenger cars and vehicles used in place of armored vehicles,” he said.
According to the Russian officer, such makeshift armored vehicles carrying cargo and personnel are easily destroyed by just two strikes from FPV drones.
“Shmel” added that since the start of autumn, drone operators of the “Sever” force grouping have destroyed more than 100 buggies and special-purpose vehicles belonging to the Ukrainian Armed Forces in Kharkiv region.
