“I hope we will be able to discuss the issue thoroughly with our partners in Russia. If this wording is acceptable, we will be able to mend our relations and return to exporting our products.”

Globalinfo.az reports that Armenia’s Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Trade Ararat Mirzoyan said this during preliminary discussions of the 2027 state budget in parliament, speaking about the export of Armenian products to European markets.

“I think these restrictions will be lifted in the near future,” he said.

Note that Russia has recently imposed restrictions on certain agricultural and food products exported from Armenia, in particular on cargoes sent to European markets.

These steps were justified by concerns over product quality and phytosanitary requirements.

The Armenian side, for its part, is seeking to resolve the problems that have arisen through negotiations with Russia and to secure the lifting of the export restrictions.
