New claims have emerged about the possible motive for an armed attack that killed 8 people in Turkey’s Afyonkarahisar province.
Globalinfo.az reports that Ali Ihsan Adatepe, a fellow native of the suspect Arif Sefa O., claimed the attack stemmed from a debt dispute.
According to him, the suspect ambushed people who had previously beaten him over a debt.
He then opened fire on other people, including female teachers, whose vehicles he allegedly wanted to seize while trying to flee the scene.
Adatepe said he shared the information based not on personal observations but on what he had heard.
The investigation to establish the exact causes of the incident is continuing.
