The Federal Security Service (FSB) of Russia has thanked U.S. law enforcement agencies for providing information about a possible terrorist attack in Moscow.
Globalinfo.az reports this citing the FSB’s Public Relations Center.
It was noted that the information provided by the American side was verified and confirmed as part of joint cooperation with Russia’s National Guard, the Ministry of Internal Affairs and the Investigative Committee.
According to the agency’s statement, on October 31 a teenager was detained who allegedly planned to carry out a terrorist attack at the Tsaritsyno Museum-Reserve in Moscow.
According to the FSB, the operation was carried out as a result of checking information obtained a day earlier. The initial information was taken from a video the teenager posted on his TikTok account.
In the video, the teenager is seen wearing tactical clothing, a balaclava, a hat, glasses and headphones, holding an object resembling a weapon. He also captioned photos taken at Tsaritsyno with the comment “I found a spot.”
The FSB says the items seen in the video were found at the detained person’s place of residence. The investigation into the incident is ongoing.
