US President Donald Trump has rejected Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu‘s proposal to carry out a new military operation against Iran.

According to the report, Netanyahu tried to persuade Trump to carry out a joint strike on Iran ahead of the parliamentary elections to be held in Israel. But the US president did not give the plan the green light:
“One of the factors behind Trump’s decision was concern that a new attack could negatively affect the election process in Israel and lead to the postponement of the vote.
Israel’s parliamentary elections are scheduled to be held on October 27.
The country’s next government must be formed based on the results of the vote.”
