The United States has warned several Persian Gulf countries regarding Iran.
Globalinfo.az reports, citing sources referenced by The Wall Street Journal.
According to the report, Tehran could launch a short-term but intensive military operation after the US midterm congressional elections on November 3:
“The Pentagon has evacuated American military personnel from bases in the Middle East where they could face threats. The US Armed Forces are reinforcing ammunition stockpiles in the region, while bombers and fighter jets are preparing to conduct strikes.”
The newspaper also noted that US President Donald Trump has not yet made a final decision on resuming military operations.
However, he is reportedly leaning toward launching a large-scale attack after the elections.
Potential targets could include Iranian infrastructure and nuclear facilities.
