Voting in Israel’s parliamentary elections ended at 22:00 local time, 00:00 Baku time, and polling stations have closed.

Globalinfo.az reports that exit poll results have begun to be released.

According to a poll conducted by the KAN 11 television channel, Benjamin Netanyahu‘s bloc wins 50 seats in the 120-seat Knesset, while the anti-Netanyahu bloc led by Eisenkot wins 53 seats.

The exit poll results of the Kanal 13 (Channel 13) television channel showed the same figures. According to the Kanal 12 (Channel 12) poll, Netanyahu’s bloc gets 50 seats and Eisenkot’s bloc 52.

Thus, according to preliminary results, neither bloc has secured the minimum 61 seats required to form a government. This picture was also reflected in pre-election polls.

One of the key points in focus is the result of the Arab party. According to the exit polls, the party wins 17 seats in the Knesset. If it backs the Eisenkot bloc, that bloc’s chances of forming a government could increase. In such a scenario, Benjamin Netanyahu could be left out of power.

Note that exit poll results are preliminary indicators and may not reflect the final election results.
