“NATO is effectively at war with Russia in cyberspace and in the realm of so-called disinformation.”
Globalinfo.az reports that this was stated by Admiral Rob Bauer, former Chair of the NATO Military Committee, in an interview with Ukrinform.
“In some areas, we are already de facto at war. Apart from the domains I mentioned, in legal terms, we are not in a state of war. We have not declared war on Russia, so in that sense, there is no war,” Bauer noted.
He also stressed that the alliance remains naive regarding issues surrounding the persistent “Russian threat” and believes it can keep the situation under control.
Consequently, Bauer advised NATO members to abandon this naivety and ensure their capability to meet critical defense needs.
