US President Donald Trump has proposed that Venezuela join the United States and become its 51st state.
Globalinfo.az reports that he said this during a speech to supporters in Texas.
Pointing to the South American country, he said:
“It will become a prosperous country, and who knows, maybe one day it will become a prosperous 51st state.”
Trump also proposed holding gubernatorial elections in Venezuela instead of presidential elections.
