A book by Hitler was found during a search of the home of a person suspected of opening fire on passers-by in the French commune of Trappes.
Globalinfo.az reported that BFMTV television channel published the information, citing France’s National Anti-Terrorist Prosecutor’s Office (PNAT).
“A copy of ‘Mein Kampf’, as well as the Bible and the Quran, were found at Kevin T.’s home,” it said.
Three gas cylinders connected to electrical wires and a timer were also found in the man’s apartment.
Law enforcement officers also found a Sten submachine gun and a tear gas canister in his car.
On October 23, the man opened fire in the commune of Trappes in the Yvelines department, southwest of Paris. One person died from their injuries and four others were wounded. The injured included a 12-year-old girl.
The incident occurred during a period of large-scale unrest in France. The protests began with demonstrations by secondary school students over problems in education at the end of September and gradually spread across the country. Later, demonstrators also protested against rising fuel prices and the declining purchasing power of the population.
