Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian accused US President Donald Trump of intending to seize his country’s oil and gas resources.
Globalinfo.az reports that Pezeshkian made the remarks while speaking at an event marking National Export Day.
According to the Iranian leader, Trump openly says he wants Iran’s oil and gas but is not being allowed to obtain them.
“Trump openly says that he wants Iran’s oil and gas, but he is not being allowed to seize these resources,” Pezeshkian said.
He also claimed that the US government is pressuring some countries to halt all cooperation with Iran.
“They thought they could split Iran by killing our leader (Ali Khamenei),” Pezeshkian said.
